1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. We do not collect your name unless you voluntarily provide it.
Documents you upload. To provide document analysis features, we process the files you upload to Sidera. Your documents are stored securely and are never used to train AI models or shared with third parties.
Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Services, including query counts, document counts, feature usage, and general performance telemetry. This data is used to improve the product and enforce plan limits.
Payment information. Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details. We receive only a tokenized reference and your subscription status from Stripe.
Device and log data. We may collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, and crash logs for security and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services
- Process your documents and return AI-generated answers
- Manage your account, plan, and team memberships
- Send transactional emails (receipts, invite notifications, password resets)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
3. Document Data
Your uploaded documents are processed solely to deliver the service you requested — answering queries, extracting clauses, and generating citations. Document content is:
- Stored encrypted at rest and in transit
- Never used to train AI models
- Never shared with other users or third parties (except sub-processors listed below)
- Deleted upon account termination within 30 days
4. Sharing Your Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
Sub-processors. We use trusted service providers to operate our infrastructure, including cloud hosting (AWS), database services (Cassandra / ScyllaDB), AI inference providers, and payment processing (Stripe). Each sub-processor is bound by a data processing agreement.
Team sharing. If you are on a Small Firm or Firm Pro plan, documents and queries may be visible to team members you have explicitly invited.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and documents for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@siden.ai. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data and documents within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and strict access controls. See our Security page for full details.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal, strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, though some features of the Services may not function correctly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
